About
A Life Long Venture With Textiles
Textiles tell a story. Every fibre, every worn edge, every carefully chosen trim carries history and craftsmanship. Symbolism is an inherent part of my work, emerging through the materials I choose, the stitches I place, and the histories woven into each textile. Worn fabrics, visible mending, and layered textures speak to resilience, transformation, and the passage of time - honouring what came before while creating something new.
I'm a self-taught textile artist, and still learning. From an early age I taught myself to sew and embroider through books, research, and endless practice. I was drawn to the way fabric could be shaped, layered and repurposed. I developed an interest for vintage and worn materials - fabrics that carried a sense of history and imperfection, and from this curiosity my skills grew and over the decades my work evolved. The textile and the work united, each enhancing the other, creating something that carried intention and emotion, made with my hands.
Beyond the pieces I create, I offer a curated selection of old and new, perfect and imperfect textiles, trims and found objects for those who have that want, and need to create.
