Vintage Kinchaku or Sewing Basket

Both decorative and functional, traditional handmade Vintage Japanese festival bag or Kinchaku can also function as a sewing basket.  Handmade from patterned Kimono fabric, the bag creatively represents a flower with four large petals.  It is beautifully lined, and the drawstring closure is a thick braided cord. The square lined base adds structure to the pouch. The bag is soft and compacts nicely.

This traditional basket has room to hold your stitching tools and notions along with some remnants, threads and a small project.  Please check the measurement of the base which gives you an indiction of the size.

Base Measures 12cm x 12cm. Height approx. 15cm when filled
