Lantern Bag - The Bag Of Roar, is a one of one hand crafted work which is both functional and decorative, constructed from repurposed work wear and lined with vintage Kimono fabric. The bag is appliquéd on all panels with motifs of ferocious tiger, flying heart, curious bird, stylised jungle and a large embroidered ROAR, a tassel at the base swings with every move. You will notice visible stains and marks and some repaired holes which are intentionally included as a mark of its previous life. I have incorporated various textiles in the work ie: felted knit, vintage French remnant, old sari fabric, and a smattering of sequins.
Each piece I make is a unique work. I include many different textiles in my work which include vintage, recycled or new fabrics. You will see loose threads, visible stitching, frayed edges, stains and marks which are all intentional contributions to the work.
Not suitable for washing.
