Decorative and functional, this traditional Vintage Japanese festival bag or Kinchaku can also function as a sewing basket. Handmade from superb silk Kimono fabric, the bag is beautifully lined and has thick braided cord drawstring. The solid square base adds structure to the bag.
The Kinchaku has room to hold your small embroidery scissors, stitching tools and notions along with some remnants, threads and a small project. Please check the measurement of the base which gives you an indiction of the size.
Base Measures 14cm x 14cm. Height approx. 16cm when filled
I have paired the bag with a soft silk vintage Japanese scarf, they work so nicely together. The scarf is plain and measures 66 x 69cm.
